Marc Baumann, founder and operator of MaxTheWeb.com, is a Los Angeles based SEO Consultant, Blog Aficionado, Journalist and Instructor. His professional background includes 15+ years in interactive and print media in Europe and the United States.

Before starting his own business in 2007, he worked as a Search Engine Optimization Specialist at Scripps-owned shopping search engine Shopzilla (Bizrate) and Content Manager at Viacom-owned youth entertainment site Neopets.

Prior to that, he was the US West coast correspondent for various European newspapers (i.e. Financial Times Germany), covering economy, information technology, arts & leisure.
